ECO by Cosentino

Eco is an environmentally friendly, durable surface made from 75% recycled products.  These products come from post-consumer or post-industrial materials.  These materials are bound by environmentally friendly resin which comes, in part, from corn oil.
 
The ECO product re utilizes materials that have reached the end of their life cycle, thus saving on the creation and consumption of natural resources.  Some of these products are porcelain, mirror, glass, stone scraps and crystallized ash. Eco also helps reduce the affect on the environment by reducing waste that would be routinely discarded and would otherwise end up in the landfill.
 
Post-consumer material is a product that has completed its life cycle as a consumer item.  These materials include and are not limited to office paper, cardboard, aluminum cans, plastics, metals, glass, mirrors and porcelain. Eco uses the last three listed.
 





Post-industrial material is collected from manufacturing waste or sub-standard products that have not been used.  These materials comes from factories and manufacturing processes and can include many forms of plastic, glass, metal and industrial ashes.  Some examples are broken and flawed glass, discarded car windshields, left over ceramic pieces from sink plants.
 
The ECO product is manufactured using the same machinery and technology as the quartz product, thus giving the ECO by Cosentino product a high performance against staining and scratching.  This product is also non-porous and doesn't require sealers.
ECO by Cosentino can contribute to an environmentally sensitive project in keeping with today's green conscious building under LEED stewardship.
